Custom DTF printing at TwoComms: how it works and what it costs
Custom DTF printing is ideal for small runs and complex full-colour artwork. Unlike screen printing (cost-effective only from 50+ identical items) and direct-to-garment printing (which fades faster and looks flatter), DTF keeps its colour for 30+ washes, works from a single item and preserves a raised texture even on small lettering. That makes it a versatile choice for streetwear brands, teams, corporate merch and gifts.
TwoComms produces custom DTF prints in Kharkiv on in-house equipment, with quality control from file review to packing. Base printing starts at UAH 350 for a T-shirt and UAH 500 for a hoodie. Runs from 50 items receive an individual discount, while runs from 100 items can include branded packaging, cards and a joint photo session.
DTF technology: what it is and why we chose it
DTF (Direct-to-Film) is a two-stage process: artwork is printed on a special film with pigment inks and a white base, then adhesive powder and a heat press transfer it to fabric at 160 °C. The result is a soft, wash-resistant print that does not crack when stretched or fade in the sun.

- Works on cotton, polyester, blends, and both dark and light garments.

How to prepare artwork for DTF printing
For the best quality, use a PNG or PDF with a transparent background, 300 dpi, CMYK colour space, outlined fonts and the exact size planned for the print zone (for example, 280×350 mm for a full chest print).
No ready file is fine. Describe the idea in the brief and add references; a manager will help prepare the artwork. For complex designs, we can create the artwork from scratch (from UAH 500).

Important: ready-made items of proper quality can be returned or exchanged within 14 days under Ukrainian law, but custom apparel made to individual order is not subject to return or exchange when produced properly.
Can I order a single custom item for myself?
Custom DTF configurator for hoodies, t-shirts, longsleeves and your own apparel. Assemble the item, print zones, file or idea and pass the full context to the manager or drop it straight into the cart.
What if I do not have a print-ready file?
Upload artwork or briefly describe what you want. We'll let you know if the file needs prep before printing.
Can I print on my own clothes?
Yes. The configurator supports the bring-your-own-garment scenario: add a description of the item, the fabric, colour and any important details so the manager can quote the order correctly.
Can I return or exchange a custom item?
Custom apparel made to individual order is not subject to return or exchange when produced correctly and matching the agreed parameters. If there is a manufacturing defect or a deviation from the approved layout, contact us and we will review the case separately.
How do I order a batch for a brand, team or event?

How much does custom DTF printing on a T-shirt or hoodie cost?
Base DTF printing starts at UAH 350 on a T-shirt and UAH 500 on a hoodie with your own artwork. The final price depends on print size, number of zones, run size and artwork complexity. The configurator shows the total immediately.
What is the production time for a custom order?
The standard lead time is 3–5 business days from artwork approval to dispatch. Urgent orders for birthdays or events may be ready in 1–2 days for a small surcharge. Runs from 50 items are agreed separately.
What is DTF printing and how is it different?
DTF (Direct-to-Film) prints artwork on a special film and transfers it to fabric with a heat press. Unlike screen printing it suits small runs from one item and complex full-colour designs; unlike direct printing it keeps colour longer and has more texture.
Can I order custom printing in Kyiv, Kharkiv or Lviv?
Yes. TwoComms production is in Kharkiv; finished items ship across Ukraine by Nova Poshta or Ukrposhta in 1–2 days. Same-day courier delivery is available in Kyiv and Kharkiv when the run is ready.
How do I print my logo on a small T-shirt run?
Upload your logo as a transparent PNG, SVG or PDF with vector lettering. A manager will check the artwork and suggest the best size for the garment. Runs start from one item.
Which fabrics and colours are available for DTF printing?
T-shirts use dense cotton (160–200 g/m²), hoodies use 320 g/m² brushed three-thread fabric and longsleeves use 180–200 g/m² cotton. Available colours include black, white, khaki, olive, grey, coyote, burgundy, pink and mint; other shades are available on request.
How do I keep a DTF print looking good after washing?
With the correct wash cycle (30 °C, no chlorine), a TwoComms DTF print lasts 30+ cycles without colour degradation. Iron inside out and never directly over the print; air-dry flat or on a hanger and avoid high-heat tumble drying.
Can I order branded merch for a volunteer project?
Yes. TwoComms offers preferential pricing for volunteer initiatives and non-profit veteran projects. Contact a manager with a short project description to discuss terms and design support.
Can you provide branded packaging and cards for dropshippers?
Yes. Dropshipper and brand partners can choose plain packaging with their own card, sticker or tag and no TwoComms logo. We agree the details when confirming the batch.
